About Austin Rotisserie & Sandwicherie
Austin Rotisserie & Sandwicherie was born from a simple idea: to introduce Austin to the kind of French food people in France actually eat every day. Founded by Sophie, a Paris native, and her husband Eric, Austin Rotisserie grew out of a shared love for hospitality, comforting food, and the neighborhood rotisseries found throughout France. After meeting on Bumble, getting engaged within two months, and moving to Austin from Miami shortly after, the pair set out to bring a more authentic side of everyday French food culture to the city. Eric, who was born in Mexico, left a career in finance at age 40 to help build the concept from scratch. The couple began with pop-ups in 2018, then a food truck before expanding into their downtown location at fairground and later opening a North Austin takeaway shop in 2026.
Today, Austin Rotisserie remains the city’s first and only French rotisserie dedicated to traditional French-style rotisserie cooking as the centerpiece of the experience. Inspired by the grab-and-go food culture of Parisian neighborhoods, the menu celebrates authentic French staples — from rotisserie chicken and potatoes cooked beneath the drippings to jambon-beurre baguette sandwiches, boulangerie-style pastries, charcuterie, desserts, and housemade specials. Designed as a fast-casual concept rooted in traditional cooking, Austin Rotisserie offers the kind of food that can be enjoyed throughout the day — whether it’s a quick breakfast, lunch on the go, or a simple meal brought home to share with family and friends. Over the years, the concept has evolved into a broader expression of everyday French cuisine rooted in tradition without pretension. Austin Rotisserie combines classic French techniques with warm Texas hospitality to recreate the feeling of everyday eating in France: flavorful, high-quality food meant to be shared and enjoyed often.
